Bellingham TheaterWorks Summer Repertory Theatre - To Kill a Mockingbird

The FireHouse Arts & Events Center is excited to host this year’s Bellingham TheatreWorks Fairhaven Summer Repertory Theatre (FSRT) lineup featuring three award-winning works with women as central to each story.

To Kill a Mockingbird - adapted for the stage by Christopher Sergel from the novel by Harper Lee.

This is the stage adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Harper Lee. The story revolves around a small Alabama town lawyer Atticus Finch as he defends Tom Robinson, a black man falsely accused of rape that sends violent waves through the community in the 1930’s. Timeless and lingering, this hard-hitting work explores prejudice, compassion and the courage to do what is right.

“Onstage, a classic about Racism and Tolerance.” Aileen Jacobson – New York Times
