The Jazz Center of Bellingham: The Thomas Harris Quintet

We are pleased to welcome back the Thomas Harris Quintet for a special Holiday show.

Thomas Harris is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator based in the Pacific Northwest. Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington where he studied with saxophonists Mark Kelly and Mike Allen, and bassist Chuck Israels, he attended Berklee College of Music under full scholarship, learning from jazz legends George Garzone, Frank Tiberi, Phil Wilson and many others. He then went on to perform for several years onboard cruise ships, visiting all seven continents and over 80 countries.

In addition to performing with a wide variety of artists and bands on the saxophone, clarinet, and flute, Thomas is also an accomplished vocalist and has performed his original swing arrangements on Crystal Cruises and the Cunard Queens. 

Thomas Harris is currently employed as a jazz instructor by Western Washington University and the Jazz Center of Bellingham, as well as maintaining a private studio and a busy performance schedule.
