Henry Winslow was born and raised in Bellingham. He grew up enjoying dance, theater, and music in the local community thanks to the support of his family, teachers, and friends. He went on to study contemporary dance at Boston Conservatory and began a career performing in Boston, then New York City, and currently the San Francisco Bay Area. He began choreographing while in school, and has continued in collaboration with his partner Emma Andre. This is his first fully independent project, undertaken as an artistic challenge, and an opportunity to give back to his biggest supporters. The piece features a variety of music mixed with sounds from a subway commute between Brooklyn and Manhattan. The movement was inspired by artists around the globe, as well as endless hours of imagination on trips to and from rehearsals.
