Mardi Gras North

The festive atmosphere of Mardi Gras will be re-created in Fairhaven’s premiere venue for all things jazz, the Firehouse. A decorative umbrella parade starts the whole thing off just as it does in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Bellingham Dixieland All Stars liven up the venue with the only “Brolly’ Parade” in our county with the song “Bourbon Street Parade.”

During the program be prepared to take part! The fun begins on February 7th in the middle of Mardi Gras season, which lasts about a month, and is celebrated in many places around the US. Since there has only been one band, Bellingham Dixieland All Stars, that does the Mardi Gras in our area you don’t want to miss it! It’s good music and fun! Bring the family, but get there early to get seats, and get ready to join in celebrating Mardi Gras.
