Wildhaven Writers present A Gathering of Women’s Voices
Join us as we share stories, poems, music, and information on reproductive freedom. Alicia Rule, State Representative, and Lucia Pearson, Asst Medical Director of Student Health Services at WWU, will update us on the latest issues.
Humorous breaks include the songs, “Vagina” and “The Pill”, performed by the Mildreds.
Reflect as Wildhaven Writers read new work and work from their book, Women’s Bodies Women’s Words. Titles to entice you include, She Votes, Telling the Story, 1969, Heart of the Protest, Save Our Souls, and To Our Mothers.
For pre-election excitement, gather in community with Wildhaven Writers; Nancy Canyon, Leslie Wharton, Suzanne Harris, Courtney Kendall, Amy Alice, and Katie Dexter.

Fairhaven Art Walk - Scott Ward
The Fairhaven Art Walk is a celebration of community, creativity, and culture, where you can discover the diverse talents of our local artists while immersing yourself in the charming atmosphere of the Historic Fairhaven District.
Take a stroll down the historic streets of Fairhaven to witness firsthand the 20+ artists featured in over 16+ retail locations and stops!
The FireHouse is featuring Bellingham artist Scott Ward!
Scott creates paintings that are vibrant, yet subtle; vital and contemplative, and full of the light-hearted spirit that bridges the gap between the surreal and sublime, with images that speak not only to the eyes, but to the heart, mind and spirit as well.
He has worked as an artist and designer in advertising, clothing design, graphic design, theater design, landscape design, interior design and murals, and has shown work at many galleries across the nation.
He has been a professional artist since 1999 when he hit the art scene in Seattle. In 2016 he moved to Bellingham.
Today, most if his time at the easel is spent creating commissioned paintings for clients throughout the country. He also runs his own sublimation print shop.
We feature his art in the cafe as well! Feel free to check out his works for sale.

In On the Way to the End of the World, it's 1963, and an eclectic group of characters embark on President Kennedy’s ambitious walking challenge. Her award-winning books include Catch, Release; The King of Limbo; and A Man Came Out of a Door in the Mountain.
Adrianne will be interviewed by local author Ted O'Connell of the band Cape Flattery and author of K: A Novel.

Village Books/Chuckanut Radio Hour
Take a deep dive with us into the vibrant history of the Puget Sound with David B. Williams, a naturalist, author, and educator, to discuss his book Homewaters. His many books include the award-winning Too High and Too Steep: Reshaping Seattle's Topography and Seattle Walks: Discovering History and Nature in the City.
David will be interviewed by bestselling author Erica Bauermeister, directly after they return to land from the Schooner Zodiac Books a'Sail Cruise, 2023!

Wildhearts - David Mauro Talk
David Mauro, author of “The Altitude Journals “ speaking on “The Gift of Desperation”
David shares his journey from the lowest point in his life to the highest points on earth - The Seven Summits.

Jessie Lu Yoga Bellingham Food Bank benefit Class
Free Yoga Benefit: Join your Fairhaven neighbors for an outdoor, new moon, yoga practice focusing on the yogic principle of Mudita, or sympathetic joy. Forty-five minutes of gentle yoga followed by a 30-minute loving kindness yoga nidra guided mediation.
This class will be held outside, under the FireHouse grand sycamore tree. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to reserve your spot as space will be limited. Visit jessielu.com to print out a waiver and arrive prepared. Students are encouraged to bring the following: yoga mat, block, strap, blanket or two.
All proceeds to be donated to the Bellingham Food Bank.

Village Books/Chuckanut Radio Hour
The Chuckanut Radio Hour, a recipient of Bellingham's prestigious Mayor's Arts Award, is a radio variety show that began in January 2007.
Each Chuckanut Radio Hour includes guest authors, musicians, performance poet Kevin Murphy, and episodes of "As the Ham Turns" serial radio comedy performed by the Chuckanut Radio Players Les Campbell, Tonja Meyers, Lisa Colburn, Dee Robinson, and Robert Muzzy. Not to mention groaner jokes by hosts Paul Hanson, Kelly Evert, and announcer Rich Donnelly.
Tickets for the Chuckanut Radio Hour are $5 and are available on Eventbrite. You can listen to previously recorded programs on Sundays at 7pm on KMRE 102.3 FM.

The Ironheart Foundation goal is simple: to make a positive impact on those affected by heart disease. They do this through sport and scholarship.
The Ironheart Community has grown to be represented in 49 states (U.S.) and 33 countries. Our community is comprised of those living with heart disease, survivors, loved ones, supporters, and members of the medical community.
Becoming part of Ironheart Foundation’s community is a way to connect with others who have a similar passion for heart-health and exercise. Joining can help you not only survive heart disease but THRIVE with it as well. You choose how you want to be involved. Whether you select to represent us in fitness events by wearing our apparel, fundraising, being mentored, or engaging in our social communities. The opportunities are endless.
All funds raised for, or donated to, Ironheart are tax deductible and go to support the Ironheart Scholarship Program. This initiative is our source of giving to those with cardiac disease that have used exercise as a way to better their lives, and now wish to use higher education as a means to make a difference in the world.
Ironheart isn't just for patients. This the local group is about 70% patients, 30% loved ones, don't hesitate to invite other friends and family who might be interested in participating.
